"My body is not the same as before," Djokovic reflects on his late-match fall against Cobolli

Novak Djokovic overcame Flavio Cobolli this Wednesday in the Wimbledon quarterfinals. The former world No. 1 dropped the first set before rallying strongly to win after 3 hours and 10 minutes of play (6-7, 6-2, 7-5, 6-4). However, near the end of the match, the Serbian gave everyone a scare.
Indeed, while serving for the match, Djokovic took a tumble on the court and needed several seconds to recover before closing out the match a few points later on his serve.
During the press conference after the incident, the 24-time Grand Slam champion addressed his fall and expressed hope that it wouldn’t negatively affect his body ahead of his semifinal against Jannik Sinner.
"It was a nasty fall. It was strange, but these things can happen on grass. I’ve had a few like this in the past. Of course, my body isn’t the same as it used to be. I’ll really feel the impact of this fall tomorrow (Thursday).
We’ll see. I hope that in the next two days, the severity of this fall won’t affect my body and that I can play the semifinal without pain," Djokovic explained to Wimbledon media after the match.
