Cobolli controls Rublev to win his first ATP 500 in Hamburg!

Andrey Rublev was the favorite in the final of the Hamburg tournament, which he had already won in 2020.
After a week where he seemed to be playing at his best level, the Russian, who had dropped to 17th in the world rankings, was outplayed in the final. Flavio Cobolli, who had already won a title this season on clay in Bucharest, demonstrated clinical efficiency on his break points (4/4 converted) to win 6-2, 6-4 in less than an hour and a half of play.
At 23 years old, the Italian secures the biggest title of his career and will climb to 26th in the ATP rankings on Monday. Rublev, on the other hand, will gain two places to return to the top 15, being 15th.
Both men will quickly head to Roland Garros, where Cobolli will play against Marin Cilic and Rublev against Lloyd Harris.
