Coco has much more in common with Venus, Rick Macci compares Gauff to the Williams sisters

Rick Macci, who coached Serena and Venus Williams in their youth, has compared Coco Gauff, now a two-time Grand Slam champion, to the Williams sisters.

He stated: "I was asked if Cori was the next Serena. Serena is one of a kind. But Cori has much more in common with Venus.

She’s fast as a gazelle, with lightning reflexes. Nerves of steel. Fierce. A precise forehand. A blistering backhand. And above all, the mind of a champion.

Gauff's defense is better than either one of the Williams sisters. And her serve isn't even in the same category. You might say her ground strokes were more like Venus', but that's because Serena had incredibly powerful ground strokes, especially that awesome forehand.
