The first-round match at the WTA 250 tournament in Bogotá between Francesca Jones and Julia Riera did not have the expected conclusion. As the two players neared the end of their match, the British player collapsed on the court while preparing to serve.

Riera was leading 5-3, with a 15-30 advantage on Jones' serve when the match was halted. The 24-year-old, unable to continue, was quickly attended to by the tournament's medical team before being evacuated from the court in a wheelchair.

On its official X (formerly Twitter) account, the Bogotá tournament organizers briefly addressed Francesca Jones' health condition.

"Due to a physical issue, Francesca Jones had to retire from her match against Julia Riera with the score at 6-2, 5-7, 5-3 in favor of the Argentine player. We wish the British player a speedy recovery," the statement read.

Just two points away from sealing a three-set victory, the Argentine player advances to the second round, where she will face 17-year-old Iva Jovic, who earlier defeated Alycia Parks (6-1, 6-4) in this South American tournament.

It will really be befitting if he attains his 25th Grand Slam crown at the AO for he's truly the GOAT & this will stamp him & endorse his GOAT status without an iota of doubt

Almost as important to Djokovic as Slam #25--and requiring less luck--is beating Federer's total of 103 singles titles. He'll play 250s, and might even surpass Connors's 109.
