Cornet announces she will not participate in Roland-Garros
Returning to competition this week at the WTA 125 in La Bisbal d’Emporda, Alizé Cornet took the opportunity to share more about her schedule.
In an interview published by the Spanish tournament, Cornet revealed that she will not return to Roland-Garros, despite the clay-court tournaments she plans to play just before:
"I won’t be playing at Roland-Garros. I had planned to return in Rouen, but I couldn’t wait. I chose La Bisbal because it was close to home."
She is also expected to compete in the qualifying rounds of the WTA 1000 events in Madrid and Rome before preparing for Wimbledon, where she reached the round of 16 in 2014 and 2022.
