Dabrowski, WTA Finals doubles victor, reveals she battled breast cancer in 2024
Gabriela Dabrowski posted on her Instagram account a revelation about her year 2024: she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
She says: "How can something so small pose such a big problem?
That's the question I asked myself when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in mid-April. I'm fine and I'm going to be fine.
Early detection saves lives."
She says she took a break from treatment so she could play Wimbledon and the Olympics, where she won bronze in mixed doubles with Felix Auger-Aliassime.
She ended the season by winning the WTA Finals with Erin Routliffe. She concludes her statement with: "To cancer, I say screw you ****, but also, thank you."
