De Minaur is looking forward to the United Cup: "I've never felt pressure playing in Australia".
After a break, tennis returns for the start of the 2025 season.
The first highlight of the year is the United Cup, a team competition held in Australia, a fortnight before the season's first Grand Slam in Melbourne.
Alex De Minaur, who is always motivated to play his best tennis in front of his home crowd, can't wait to get his year off to a flying start.
Speaking to the official United Cup website, the current 9th-ranked ATP player confirmed that he feels no particular pressure to play this home tournament.
"I've never felt any pressure playing in Australia.
I've always considered playing in my country as something exciting, and it's a period I look forward to every year.
Because it's true that we don't get to play at home as often as we'd like.
So, as soon as we get the chance to be back, we know it means the season's starting.
Playing in front of our fans is always exciting. It's one of the reasons why I get up every morning, and I think it's always led me to produce my best tennis," he asserted.
