The United Cup kicked off on Friday with victories for Kazakhstan and China. On Saturday, four matches will be played in Sydney and Perth.

The French team opens the morning session in Sydney against Switzerland (from 10:30 local time, 00:30 in France) in Group D.

Chloé Paquet will take on the returning Belinda Bencic, before Ugo Humbert takes on Dominic Stricker.

The doubles will pit Jeanjean / Roger-Vasselin against Bencic / Stricker.

In the evening session in Sydney (from 5.30pm local time, 7.30am in France), Australia and Argentina will face off in Group F.

The match schedule is as follows: Gadecki - Podoroska, De Minaur - Etcheverry and the Perez / Ebden - Podoroska / Etcheverry double.

In Perth, Group A kicks off the day (from 10 a.m. local time, 3 a.m. in France) with the match between Canada and Croatia.

Leylah Fernandez will face Donna Vekic, Félix Auger-Aliassime will play Borna Coric and the doubles will pit Fernandez / Auger-Aliassime against the pair Vekic / Dodig.

Finally, Greece and Spain will round off Saturday's action in Perth in Group E (from 5 p.m. local time, 10 a.m. in France).

Spain, beaten by Kazakhstan on Friday, are already on the brink of elimination. Maria Sakkari will get things underway against Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, before Stefanos Tsitsipas takes on Pablo Carreno Busta.
