De Minaur: "Obviously, I could have been better".

Alex De Minaur didn't exactly have a great Masters tournament. Already largely dominated by Jannik Sinner in the opening round (6-3, 6-4), he didn't do much better against a vengeful Daniil Medvedev, who played some prodigious tennis.
Beaten in two sets (6-2, 6-4), the Australian is already almost eliminated, and will have to rely on a hell of a turn of events to reach the semi-finals.
Interviewed in the press conference, the world number 7 acknowledged the quality of his opponent's game, but admitted he was disappointed by his own level of tennis: "It was a tough match with a tough result. I think it was a combination of Daniil playing at a very high level today and being very aggressive.
It's something I hadn't felt in the previous matches we've played against each other.
Obviously, I could have been a bit better and more precise in certain areas. That's just the way it is. I think that's what happened today."
