De Minaur puts an end to Bellucci's fine run in Rotterdam
Alex De Minaur showed no mercy to Mattia Bellucci in the semi-finals of the ATP 500 Rotterdam on Saturday afternoon.
Facing the 92nd-ranked player in the world, who was in confident mood after emerging from the qualifiers and eliminating Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas, De Minaur played his best tennis, disgusting Bellucci with his level of defense.
As witnessed by the 22-shot rally he won in the first set to make the double break at 4-1 (see video below).
A cut above the rest throughout the match, De Minaur kept up the momentum in the second set to win in just over an hour's play and reach the Rotterdam final for the second year running.
He now awaits the winner of the other semi-final between Carlos Alcaraz and Hubert Hurkacz in the final.
