Debru, injured in his left wrist, underwent surgery

Absent from the courts since February 1st and his defeat in the second round of the Challenger of Piracicaba against Gustavo Heide (6-3, 6-3), Gabriel Debru will not be returning to competition right away. The young French player, aged 19 and currently ranked 256th in the ATP, suffers from a left wrist injury and has decided to undergo surgery in recent hours.
"Hello, as you can see in the photo, today I had to undergo surgery on my left wrist due to pain that returned before Roland-Garros. I will do everything to get back on the courts as soon as possible. Thank you all for the support. I will update you soon," wrote Debru on his social networks in recent hours.
In 2025, the Grenoble native only participated in three Challenger tournaments on clay (Buenos Aires, Punta del Este, and Piracicaba), with a record of three wins and three losses. In March, he reached the highest ranking of his career (233rd) and now hopes to return to the circuit as quickly as possible.
