Del Potro before facing Djokovic: "I've never had so much anxiety, so many nerves, in my entire career"
After playing his last professional match at the ATP 250 in Buenos Aires almost three years ago, Juan Martín Del Potro returns to his capital to play a final gala match against a certain Novak Djokovic.
Interviewed in a press conference on Sunday, he made no secret of his emotion: "It's a very special day for me, marking the end of my entire career. It's a very special day for me. I've never had so much anxiety, so many nerves, in my entire career, but this day has come.
Novak was very generous in agreeing to be with me for this moment, a day I'll always remember. I hope people will receive him as the athlete and person he is and that we can have a good match."
