Holger Rune will be in the last 16 in Melbourne after coming through a very tight match (6-7, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4) against Miomir Kecmanovic, ranked 51st in the world.
The Dane, who started the match as the favorite, needed five sets and almost three and a half hours of play to see off his opponent.
Trailing 4-2 in the fourth set, Rune managed to turn the tables and win a fifth set.
Cramped in his left leg, he then hit a string of winners to break at 5-4 and serve for the match.
With a last serve winner, the world No. 13 was able to exult in the Melbourne night and qualify for the Round of 16, where he will meet world No. 1 Jannik Sinner.
