Diminished but feeling better, Alcaraz to play Rublev on Wednesday
Carlos Alcaraz had interrupted his Tuesday training session after just ten minutes, due to his illness, on the occasion of the ATP Finals. He appeared on Wednesday morning in better shape, with a bandage over his nose to improve his breathing.
His sensations are better and he took advantage of his warm-up to work on his forehand. The Spaniard has a big game on Wednesday against Rublev, and a win is imperative if he is to qualify for the semi-finals.
His state of fitness remains a major uncertainty, as he has had to stop several times to blow his nose. But he wants to try and give himself a chance in this last tournament of the year.
