Dimitrov strolls through to the 3rd round of the US Open
Grigor Dimitrov qualified for the 3rd round of the US Open with ease on Wednesday. The Bulgarian easily beat Australian Rinky Hijikata in two hours and three sets (6-1, 6-1, 7-6[4]).
Dimitrov dominated the first two sets, showing himself to be much more solid from the baseline. He then perfectly contained his opponent's attempted rebellion in the third set. He will face a real test in the 3rd round when he takes on Tallon Griekspoor.
