Djokovic Spotted in Montenegro on the Eve of His Mixed Doubles Debut at the US Open
The US Open mixed doubles competition begins tomorrow, but withdrawals and changes among the teams in the draw are expected, particularly concerning the Cincinnati finalists (Sinner, Alcaraz, and Swiatek).
Among the other pairs, Novak Djokovic is still missing in action in New York. With just 24 hours until the start of the competition, the former world No. 1 has yet to set foot in the United States.
He was spotted today by the media outlet Sportklub while jogging in Montenegro, more specifically in Porto Novi, the seaside resort where he began his US Open preparation a week ago.
The Serbian is thus expected to arrive in New York at the last minute, without having had time to properly prepare for his match alongside Olga Danilovic. The two will face the Russian pair of Mirra Andreeva and Daniil Medvedev.
