Draper, in Good Form, Eliminates Fritz at Indian Wells
Jack Draper, despite physical concerns, has had a strong start to the 2025 season. He eliminated the No. 3 seed, Taylor Fritz, with a score of 7-5, 6-4.
He advances to the quarterfinals of Indian Wells, marking his 3rd Masters 1000 quarterfinal and his 8th victory over a Top 10 player.
In a post-match interview, the Briton spoke about his physical issues: "I was building incredible things at the end of last year.
I was moving well, playing well, and seeing the ball very clearly. I had a short break at the start of the year due to an injury.
But now, all these issues, the way I adjusted my schedule, and all those kinds of things have really helped me.
I'm happy with how my team and I have worked and overcome the tough moments recently. The hard work is paying off."
Draper will face Ben Shelton for a spot in the semifinals.
