Draw for the WTA 250 Cleveland Tournament: Boisson Faces Teichmann, Samsonova and Wang Xinyu Top Seeds in Ohio

Loïs Boisson is set to make her highly anticipated return to competition. Absent from the tour since her first WTA title in Hamburg at the end of July, the French player is preparing to kick off her North American hardcourt swing in Ohio.
After missing the tournaments in Montreal and Cincinnati due to a left thigh injury, the 22-year-old is competing in the WTA 250 Cleveland tournament. The draw has been made, and the Dijon native, a semifinalist at the last Roland-Garros, will face Jil Teichmann.
Top seed Liudmila Samsonova will start against Caroline Dolehide and could potentially meet Peyton Stearns in the round of 16 if the latter overcomes a qualifier in her opening match.
Samsonova and Boisson could face each other in the quarterfinals if all goes well for both until then. Meanwhile, second seed Wang Xinyu will take on Suzan Lamens.
Other notable matchups include Maya Joint vs. Eva Lys, Iva Jovic vs. Anastasia Potapova, and Elena-Gabriela Ruse vs. Hailey Baptiste.
Additionally, two French players will compete in the qualifying rounds in the coming hours: Elsa Jacquemot (against Zheng Saisai) and Daphnée Mpetshi Perricard. The 16-year-old rising star received a wildcard from the organizers to enter qualifying and will challenge Rebeka Masarova.
