Due to rain, US Open qualifying matches postponed to Thursday
Rain has been falling continuously since the early morning in New York and at the Flushing Meadows site.
No second-round qualifying match was able to be completed, and with an extremely packed schedule, the organizers have decided to postpone all matches until tomorrow.
Four French players had started their matches before being interrupted by the showers: Hugo Grenier against Martin Landaluce (5-2), Arthur Cazaux against Jay Clarke (5-3), Tessah Andrianjafitrimo against Jana Fett (4-5), and Manon Léonard against Panna Udvardy (2-6, 0-1).
On the other hand, the practices for the main draw players and the conclusion of the mixed doubles will proceed as scheduled thanks to the roofs on Arthur Ashe Court and Louis Armstrong Court.
