Eala becomes the first Filipina to win a WTA tournament
The young Philippine tennis prodigy won her first WTA title in Mexico by defeating Hungary's Panna Udvardy (1-6, 7-5, 6-3).
After losing the first set, the 20-year-old player showed courage to deliver the first WTA trophy to her country (Guadalajara, WTA 125).
With the next WTA ranking update, she will return to the 61st position in the world.
