Eliminated in a surprise upset by Valentin Vacherot in the second round of Shanghai (3-6, 6-3, 6-4), Alexander Bublik has already announced his withdrawal from the ATP 250 tournament in Almaty.

Scheduled from October 13 to 19, the Kazakh event will therefore not be able to count on its flag bearer. A surprising choice from the 28-year-old player, especially since he has shown impressive consistency in this category of tournament: winning in Gstaad, Kitzbühel, and Hangzhou this season.

While many dreamed of Bublik participating in the year-end Masters in Turin just 10 days ago, his recent exits in Beijing and Shanghai have not reassured his fans.
