Video - When Rain Turned the Shanghai Masters 1000 into a Mini Indoor Tournament
Last year, rain forced the organizers of the Shanghai tournament to improvise: matches of the prestigious Chinese tournament were played on an indoor practice court. Bublik, one of the players forced to play under these conditions, delivered a magical point.
The rain had disrupted the schedule of the Shanghai Masters 1000 to such an extent that several matches had to be played under indoor conditions.
It was on a court without an electronic scoreboard that Alexander Bublik and Roman Safiullin had to face each other in the second round.
In front of a few media representatives, the Kazakh player delighted with a superb between-the-legs lob. He ultimately lost 6-4, 6-2 in this match.
Lorenzo Musetti and David Goffin were also forced to play under these conditions unworthy of a Masters 1000.
