Last season, David Goffin returned to the spotlight by reaching the quarterfinals in Shanghai. Ranked 66th in the world, he notably defeated Alexander Zverev in the round of 16.

A commanding 6-4, 7-5 victory over the German that surprised his coach Yannis Demeroutis. The latter reacted hilariously to his protégé's feat (see video below).

This year, Goffin made waves again in Shanghai by eliminating Ben Shelton in the second round. He was unable to build on this impressive success, forced to retire against Gabriel Diallo in the following round.

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.
