Eubanks looks forward to Djokovic and Murray working together: "Andy sees the game like no one else on the circuit".
107th in the world, Christopher Eubanks was on TV to talk about the latest tennis news, namely the Next Gen ATP Finals.
On Tennis Channel, the American player, a quarter-finalist at Wimbledon in 2023, also talked about the upcoming partnership between Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray.
The latter, who has been retired since the 2024 Olympic Games, will thus have his first coaching experience and will coach the Serb at least until the Australian Open.
Eubanks is delighted with such a collaboration and can't wait to see them in action: "I love the idea. At this stage of his career, Novak doesn't need anyone to tinker or make adjustments to his forehand or backhand.
But I think it's great that he can work with someone who has been in a similar position, even if Andy hasn't won the same number of Grand Slam titles as Novak," says Eubanks.
"We're coming to the end of his career, and Djokovic is still trying to perfect his game and look to improve to compete with the younger generation of very good players.
And I think Murray sees the game like nobody else on the circuit. I've had the chance to listen to him talk tennis and it's a real pleasure to hear what he thinks about the game. I can't wait to see what he brings to Novak.
Murray is someone Novak will listen to and respect. He's a player who has competed with him and is a friend of his, they've had a very good relationship for a long time.
I'm excited to see how it develops," he concludes.
