Federer, Murray, Williams: What are the longest winning streaks in the 1st and 2nd rounds of Grand Slams?

Undefeated in her consecutive appearances in the 1st and 2nd rounds of Grand Slams since early 2020, Swiatek continued her momentum at Wimbledon, defeating Kudermetova and McNally.

Following these victories, many observers questioned Jeu, Set et Maths, a statistics specialist, about the record for consecutive wins in the 1st and 2nd rounds in the Open Era for both the women's and men's circuits.

On X, the account revealed that the record holder is Evert (112 wins), followed by Navratilova (97 wins) and Serena Williams (90 wins). Among the men, Federer ranks first with 80 wins, ahead of Lendl (75 wins), Murray (75 wins), and Connors (70 wins).
