Federico Cina, First Player Born in 2007 to Reach a Challenger Final
At the Hersonissos Challenger (Greece), 17-year-old Italian Federico Cina qualified for the tournament final after defeating former world No. 14 Aslan Karatsev (6-4, 6-2).
Cina, who received a wild-card to compete in the tournament, became the first player born in 2007 to reach a final on the Challenger circuit.
Additionally, he is in exceptional form at the start of the 2025 season, boasting a record of nine wins and zero losses.
In tomorrow's final, he will face Bulgarian Dimitar Kuzmanov. Currently ranked a career-high 441st in the world as of Monday, Cina will also be one to watch at the Miami Masters 1000, where he has been invited by the organizers.
