After the US Open, the season will continue in Asia with tournaments in Tokyo, Beijing, and the Shanghai Masters 1000.

Arthur Fils, who has been sidelined with a back injury since Roland-Garros, is expected to return to competition in Toronto in two weeks. In the meantime, the French No. 1 has marked Tokyo (September 24-30) on his schedule. The defending champion in the Japanese capital, Fils had defeated his compatriot Ugo Humbert in last year's final.

This year, he will face tougher competition. Indeed, Carlos Alcaraz, last year's Beijing champion, has chosen to play in Japan this season. Among the top 5, Taylor Fritz and Jack Draper will also be in the mix. World No. 8 Holger Rune also confirmed his participation this Friday.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

It's a shame that so many matches are being canceled. TT ,you are destroying your game ,and thereby killing your app. I don't know how many matches others have had canceled , but I'm at 3 and it's only thursday.
