Fils defeats Lestienne with difficulty in Rotterdam
Arthur Fils defeated Constant Lestienne in the first round of the Rotterdam ATP 500.
Fils struggled to get his tennis going, as evidenced by his first set tie-break loss with 28 unforced errors.
The Frenchman turned things around in the last two sets, winning 6-7, 6-2, 6-1, thanks to more accurate and dangerous shots.
In the second round, he will face Daniel Altmaier, drafted in following the withdrawal of Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, who beat Aleksandar Kovacevic in the morning.
