Arthur Fils came through his first round at the ATP 500 Rotterdam.
After losing the first set with a lot of technical waste, he managed to reverse the trend and win against Constant Lestienne.
In a post-match interview, he talked about his match and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, who had to withdraw from the first round due to illness.
"Constant is a great player, you know, so it's difficult to get used to his ball. Sometimes he's slow, sometimes very fast, he uses the slice a lot, so it wasn't easy to feel comfortable.
It's been a long time since I've played on such a slow court. I played in the Davis Cup last weekend, and it was very fast.
But in the end, I managed to play a good forehand. But I'm feeling very tired after Davis Cup.
