Fils in the last four in Basel!
Winner of his quarter-final against Stefanos Tsitsipas in Basel, Arthur Fils is in fine form as the season draws to a close.
17-3 is the Frenchman's record in ATP 500 tournaments this season. Having already won two tournaments in this category this year (Hamburg and Tokyo), Fils moved a step closer to a third success today.
He came through in two sets against Stefanos Tsitsipas (7-6, 6-3) and now awaits the winner of the match between Andrey Rublev and Ben Shelton in the semi-finals.
This success earns the French No.2 a bonus of $615,000 for finishing with the best ATP 500 tournament record on the circuit.
For his part, Tsitsipas must now win the title in Paris next week if he is to qualify for the Masters.
