Fonseca last to qualify for Next Gen Masters!
With Joao Fonseca's qualification on Friday, we now know the eight players who will take part in the Masters Next Gen from December 16 to 22.
Fonseca was tipped to be the final qualifier for Jeddah, but his ticket depended on Henrique Rocha's result at the Maia Challenger this week.
Eliminated in the quarter-finals today, the Portuguese saw his Masters Next Gen dreams dashed, much to Fonseca's delight.
The Brazilian, who came to prominence on the ATP circuit at the Rio tournament in February (where he beat Arthur Fils), completes the list of players who will be in Saudi Arabia to compete in the event.
Behind him, the first alternate is Spain's Martin Landaluce, who could perhaps benefit from the withdrawal of Fils, who has yet to confirm his presence.
