Joao Fonseca finished his group phase at the Masters Next Gen unbeaten, beating Jakub Mensik this evening after a hard-fought five-set battle.

Thanks to these three victories, he finished top of the blue group and will be the favorite to face Luca Van Assche tomorrow in the semi-finals.

But before his match, the Brazilian had the chance to meet Rafael Nadal, who is visiting Jeddah this week.

During his post-match interview on court, Fonseca admitted that this special moment had helped him during his match: "I met Rafa today. I'm inspired by him.

I was with Alex (Michelsen) and Jakub (Mensik) and he told us a bit more about his experience, which is enormous, his mentality and his efforts.

It's really nice and it inspired me today."

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.
