Former coach of Andreeva speaks out: "Few female players win matches thanks to their serve, but she can do it"
Artem Derepasko worked alongside Mirra Andreeva as captain of Russia’s under-12 team.
He shared his thoughts on the Russian player’s progress and highlighted a particular strength—her serve.
"The combination of tennis skills instilled in Mirra during her childhood, especially her court vision, hasn’t faded. Her ability to handle setbacks on the court is her asset.
Very often, she outmaneuvers her opponents tactically. On top of that, she’s added even more intense physical training.
Her shots have become more compact, more powerful, yet she hasn’t lost her consistency. Mirra has significantly improved her serve.
Few female players win matches because of it, but she—she can do it."
