Friday sees the two semi-finals of the men's singles draw at the 2024 French Open. At the end of the day, the identities of the last two contenders for the Parisian crown will be known.

Starting at 2.30pm, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will take to the clay courts of Philippe Chatrier. In an eagerly-awaited duel, the two young men's tennis stars will engage in what promises to be an epic battle. Indeed, given their previous Grand Slam encounters (one win apiece), we can expect a match of wild intensity.

After that, it's time for another big clash on the Chatrier. Alexander Zverev and Casper Ruud are set to do battle. In a rematch of last year's semi-final (won by Ruud, 6-3, 6-4, 6-0), this match is also sure to make the mouth water. Between Ruud, who is very much at ease on clay and, above all, a double finalist in Paris, and Zverev, who won the title in Rome and has been very confident in recent weeks, the battle promises to be intense.

One thing's for sure: these two matches are likely to be very tense, and every player still in the running looks capable of winning the tournament. So place your bets!

Looking forward to a great 13th day of competition!

As we move to the end of this month and also closing out the year I am wishing all of those following me a Merry Christmas and a Happy/Healthy New Year.

Let's make that wish for all 2000 plus players hoping for 5 wins each day. Hoping ŵhen we open the results page to see all green, and no red. And especially NO CANCELED matches.

From me and my rotti JAZ, I bid you all good night, and see you in...

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.
