Fritz, Ruud, Shelton: Thursday, October 23rd Schedule in Basel
Six matches will take place this Thursday as part of the Round of 16 of the Basel tournament.
João Fonseca and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina have already qualified for the quarter-finals of the ATP 500 tournament in Basel. Six other players will complete the lineup following Thursday's action, which promises to be very busy with the final matches scheduled for the Round of 16.
Therefore, starting at 2:00 PM on the Center Court, Félix Auger-Aliassime will take on Marin Cilic, followed by the match between last year's finalist Ben Shelton and Jaume Munar. From 6:00 PM, Casper Ruud will face Stan Wawrinka, before the evening's headline match between Taylor Fritz and Ugo Humbert.
On Court 1, two other duels will take place starting early in the afternoon. At 1:30 PM, lucky loser Valentin Royer will face Denis Shapovalov. Finally, the last match will pit Reilly Opelka against Botic van de Zandschulp, two players who faced each other in the qualifying rounds at the end of last week. The American had won in two sets (6-4, 6-4).
