The 2023 semifinalist has withdrawn from the upcoming Monte-Carlo Masters 1000, scheduled for April 6–13.
Following Hubert Hurkacz, the world No. 4 has now pulled out of the tournament. The American had already announced his withdrawal from the UTS on Friday, April 4, where he was set to face Gaël Monfils.
"I was looking forward to returning to the UTS circuit after reaching the final in Los Angeles in 2023. Unfortunately, I aggravated my abdominal injury during my semifinal in Miami and won't recover in time to compete in Nîmes this week," he stated on the UTS website.
