A new duel between Caroline Garcia and Iga Swiatek is set for the Miami Masters 1000 on Friday.

After facing off in the second round at Indian Wells, the two players will meet again at the same stage of the competition in Florida following the Frenchwoman's victory this Wednesday in the first round against Anna Bondar.

Garcia delivered a flawless first set, winning 6-0 in twenty-four minutes, before battling for over an hour in the second set to ultimately clinch the tie-break and secure the match with a score of 6-0, 7-6.

Having been soundly defeated by Swiatek in California (6-2, 6-0), the world No. 74, the only French player still in the draw, hopes to pose a greater challenge to the world No. 2 this time around.

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.
