Gasquet defeated in the first round of Australian Open qualifying

In his last Australian Open, Richard Gasquet lost in the first round to Duje Ajdukovic 7-6, 6-3.
The day's proceedings had begun some six hours late in Melbourne, due to rain.
Despite taking a break in the second set, the Frenchman was unable to hold on to his lead and lost quite logically.
He bids farewell to the Australian Open, the Grand Slam tournament where he has had the least success, with his best performance a 1/8th final.
Gasquet is already the third Frenchman to be eliminated, following Ugo Blanchet's defeat by Dalibor Svrcina and Harold Mayot's defeat by Yasutaka Uchiyama.
