6 defeats in as many matches for the French in Australian Open qualifying
It was a complicated Monday for the French on the first day of Australian Open qualifying.
Rain severely disrupted the day's schedule, which ended shortly before midnight local time. Some matches were postponed until Tuesday.
Six French players were able to play today, and unfortunately for them, none managed to qualify for the second round.
Ugo Blanchet, Harold Mayot, Richard Gasquet, Hugo Grenier, Jessika Ponchet and Alice Tubello were eliminated.
Luca Van Assche withdrew from the qualifiers due to injury.
