Gauff Overcomes Andreeva to Advance to Rome Semifinals
Coco Gauff faced Mirra Andreeva this Wednesday in the quarterfinals of Rome. The two players met again after clashing just a few days earlier in Madrid.
While Andreeva had hoped for revenge, Gauff prevailed once more, winning 6-4, 7-6. She now becomes the fifth-youngest player in the Open Era to reach three semifinals in Rome.
She will next face Aryna Sabalenka or Qinwen Zheng for a spot in the final of the Italian tournament.
