Griekspoor Withdraws from Halle, Halys Enters Main Draw
Tallon Griekspoor has not yet recovered from his abdominal injury. After being forced to retire in the Roland-Garros round of 16 against Alexander Zverev, the 28-year-old Dutchman will have to delay his return to competition once again.
The world No. 34, who already withdrew from this week’s tournament in 's-Hertogenbosch at home, is also pulling out of next week’s ATP 500 event in Halle.
As a result, Quentin Halys, initially registered for Queen’s, will take his place in the main draw. The Frenchman, ranked 47th in the world, lost in the second round in Stuttgart to Taylor Fritz (6-3, 7-6) and will now continue his Wimbledon preparations in another German city.
