Halys, Rinderknech, and Musetti Withdraw from Marrakech
Next week, the long clay-court season will begin. Players will gradually ramp up their level ahead of the major events, namely the Monte-Carlo, Madrid, and Rome Masters 1000 tournaments, before the Hamburg tournament and Roland-Garros.
One of the tournaments next week will take place in Marrakech. In the Moroccan city, the annual ATP 250 event will be held, and the competing players will aim to succeed Matteo Berrettini, who was just eliminated in the quarterfinals and had defeated Roberto Carballes Baena in last year's final.
One thing is certain—the 2025 champion will not be Quentin Halys. Indeed, the Frenchman, ranked 57th in the world and a semifinalist in Dubai in February, withdrew just hours before the main draw. It’s worth noting that several other players registered for the tournament have also pulled out in recent days, including Lorenzo Musetti, Arthur Rinderknech, and Zizou Bergs.
