Lacking confidence in recent months, Quentin Halys enters the main draw of an ATP 250 tournament scheduled for next week.

In recent hours, Arthur Rinderknech, still competing in the Shanghai Masters 1000, and Frances Tiafoe, who has ended his season, have withdrawn from the ATP 250 Brussels tournament, taking place from October 12 to 19.

A third player has confirmed his withdrawal from the Belgian tournament, and it is Nuno Borges. The Portuguese player, ranked 51st in the world, just lost in the round of 16 to Alex De Minaur (7-5, 6-2) in Shanghai.

While the reasons for this withdrawal are currently unknown, Borges' absence benefits Quentin Halys. The Frenchman, ranked 75th in the ATP and who has lost eleven of his last thirteen official matches, takes advantage to enter the main draw without going through qualifying rounds.

In the Belgian capital, he will seek to regain confidence, as he hasn't won two consecutive matches on the main tour since Roland Garros, where he defeated Tomas Machac and Miomir Kecmanovic before losing in five sets to Holger Rune.

Hello I'm new

I am surprised about relatively low attendance at Roland Garros which was the most popular slam 20+ years ago. I myself love it as well as really loving aus and us opens. I don't care about Wimbledon, sometimes maybe I can watch women's tennis. I hate Wimbledon's white dress code, I feel like I am watching junior tennis...I watched very few matches like Graf davenport final in 1999 the last time.....
