On the first day of competition, the host nation took to the court against Croatia in the opening match of Group B. Flavio Cobolli and Lucia Bronzetti secured victory for Italy by defeating Duje Ajduković (6-7, 6-4, 10-6) and Donna Vekić (6-3, 4-6, 10-1), respectively.

Matches will continue tomorrow with France, the final nation in Group B. Richard Gasquet and Chloé Paquet will aim to secure a win for Les Bleus against the Croatian team.
