Humbert disappointed to be playing on a side court: "I'm the French No. 1".
Victorious in his 2nd round match against Marcos Giron, Ugo Humbert played on court n°1 today. A choice made by the organizers that the Frenchman clearly didn't appreciate.
In a press conference, Humbert spoke of his disappointment at not being able to play his match on the biggest court, when other French players were scheduled to play there: "I was obviously disappointed and a little surprised by the schedule.
I think I deserve better. I'm number 1 in France.
I'm a very nice person. But you know, sometimes that's used against me. I'm delighted to have won my match and to have the chance to play on center court against Alcaraz."
