"I deserved it," Musetti speaks out on crowd booing
In a press conference after his victory over Adrian Mannarino, Lorenzo Musetti addressed the incident with Chinese fans who booed him following his controversial remarks.
For him, despite his apologies, this reaction was predictable. He stated: "Obviously, I expected this kind of reaction from the supporters. I think that, in a way, I deserved it, which is why I made sure to personally apologize at the microphone at the end of the match.
I hope these apologies will be heard beyond social media."
Musetti will face Learner Tien this Monday for a spot in the semifinals.
