"I don't see him playing for more than a year," Kyrgios reveals his conversation with Djokovic at Indian Wells
In the *All on The Table* podcast hosted by Mouratoglou, Kyrgios revisited a discussion he had with Djokovic. While the two had many disagreements during the Covid crisis, their relationship has significantly improved in recent years. When asked by the French coach about the Serb's motivations, the Australian revealed a conversation they had on the subject:
"Yes, I asked him why he keeps playing. I asked him that this year at Indian Wells when we were in the locker room. He told me, 'I don’t know.' I also asked him about his family. It was the first time he seemed so affected by being away from his loved ones. I stay in touch with him often. Personally, I don’t see him playing for more than a year. Especially since he probably won’t win another Grand Slam."
A statement that fuels speculation about Djokovic’s future. For his part, the Serb has stated he will do everything to be at his best for the US Open.
