"I felt something inside me that I had never experienced before," Musetti reflects on the turning point of his season
In complete control of his first two matches, Musetti boasts an impressive clay-court record this season with 15 wins in 18 matches. Now ranked world No. 7, the 23-year-old is proving to be a serious contender at Roland-Garros. After his second-round victory against Galan (6-4, 6-0, 6-4), the Italian explained that a breakthrough moment occurred during his run in Monte-Carlo:
"After my performance in Monte-Carlo, I felt something inside me that I had never experienced before. A huge surge of confidence—not just for reaching the final, but also for how I did it, coming back from tough matches. Confirming it in Madrid and Rome was crucial to arriving here with so much belief in my abilities," he said in an interview shared by *Punto de Break*.
For a spot in the round of 16, he will face Argentina's Navone.
