"I have some minor muscle issues and need to recover for what's next," Alcaraz announces withdrawal from Toronto Masters 1000
Carlos Alcaraz will indeed miss the Toronto Masters 1000.
The world No. 2, currently on vacation, shared the news on his social media:
"After many consecutive weeks of competition without rest, I won’t be able to play in Toronto this year.
I have some minor muscle issues and need to recover physically and mentally for what’s ahead. I’m sorry to my fans in Canada and to the tournament. I’ll see you next year!"
Alcaraz will return to competition at the Cincinnati tournament, which runs from August 7 to 18.
