I hope to go far again," after her Wimbledon final, Anisimova hopes to keep the momentum going at the US Open
Amanda Anisimova played the first Grand Slam final of her career at Wimbledon last weekend.
Defeated decisively 6-0, 6-0, the American player had to process this tough moment before returning to the U.S. to rest and then prepare for the hardcourt season.
Appearing on *Good Morning America*, Anisimova shared her motivation level heading into the US Open:
"It feels surreal to be world No. 7 now. It’s been a quick shift for me since coming back to competition. The US Open is by far my favorite tournament. It’s always so exciting to play there, and I know I’ll have the whole crowd behind me. My whole family will be there to support me, so I can’t wait. I’m sure it’ll be a great tournament, and I hope to go far again.
